#1 I bit the bullet and decided to root my Droid. Nothing major yet, just did the wireless tether thing. Not sure how far I want to go with ROMs.

#2 I decided to get a tablet. The Acer Iconia a500 was the most appealing to me, it got the best reviews. I was able to get 18 months no interest on my Best Buy card so paying it off is no issue.

Off to post in the Acer forum to see what accessories people suggest...
