Besides removal of bloatware and improved battery life, what are the reasons to root now that Froyo has been released?

Bug fixes, bloatware, wifi tether, kernels, Overclock/Underclock, CM7 (ok... still an Alpha build)... awesome developers!

Example: A lot of users have complained about the HW keyboard dropping keys. A "fix" has been implemented for root users HERE. That's something you can't do if stock.

Also - wifi tether, screenshots, NAND backup, I believe. I have rooted DI18 but am researching Midnight and Frozen ROMs right now. I'll probably switch to my Evo while I flash my Epic.
