I am having a lot of problems. My signal meter never accurately represents what my signal is. My WiFi doesn't work at all and I'm getting a lot of force closes (mainly the market and a few different apps). Was it advised to do a factory reset before flashing and should I do one now? I've done everything from deleting certain apps to doing both a cold shutdown and battery pull. I'm a bit frustrated with where I am. I love the Rom but its far from perfect from what people are telling me.

Did you do a full wipe (data, cache, dalvik) before flashing? You definitely need to do that. If not, you can do so now and reflash.

Which version of VU? I've run 1.31, 2.35 and 2.37 and never had anything like what you describe.

I had the same problem when I first flashed VU. Alice is right. Wiping everything and reflashing should do the trick.

How do you wipe everything and reflash safely? I have rom manager and have saved a backup of the original factory setup. Also will I lose all my contacts and stuff? Should I use backup pro to save my stuff?

See my response to your thread for the wipe.
You will lose your contacts and apps, so I recommend backing the apps up with Titanium (ONLY APP, NO DATA) and syncing your contacts with a gmail account. That way, when you flash a new rom you can just sync your gmail account to bring your contacts back and restore your apps with Titanium Backup (APP ONLY, NO DATA).

    Have fun!
