Ok, so for the last few nights I have turned off my phone to allow for some peaceful rest, and about the same time in the morning it has turned on by itself. No, I haven't installed any app that would do that, but I have gotten the 2.2 update. Not sure if there is a built in feature that turn it on after a full charge? Anyone else having the same issue?

Do you have an alarm set? Most phones will turn themselves on in order to play the alarm. Or if you are charging the phone, it will not stay turned off. But it should turn back on immediately, not be on some sort of delay.

yea my droid never turns off when it's charging, so if you have it plugged it at night while you sleep it'll stay on.

worse comes to worse just silence it when you go to bed.

No alarm set, but that would make sense, that's good to know.

I plugged it in, turned it off, watched it power down, then sometime during the night it must have turned on because I heard it go off around 4:00 with an email notification.

doesn't matter if you power down.. if its plugged in, it will automatically restart itself.

G.Armour You know you want to.

^^^^ Every time. I am surprised that when you have powered it off before, you have not noticed it powering right back on.

Well, yes. Typically if I shut it off I wait until it powers down then plug it in and walk away to the bedroom. I have it in the kitchen. Therefore; I never thought about looking back.
