Hi all!

I am from the Empathic Systems Project at Northwestern University. We are studying user behavior and system performance on mobile architectures to help optimize future mobile platforms. For the project, we are looking for volunteers to help provide us real data from real users on real mobile devices.

We have developed NU JamLogger, an Android app for logging user activity and system performance. If you would like to become an enabler of awesome academic research (or just feel like helping some poor grad students gather some data and graduate faster, at no impact to you), then please install it and give it a try! NU JamLogger v1.0 is available under the Tools section on Android Market; or through a search of "NU JamLogger".

All logged information is kept anonymous. We log activity but not specific data. For example, we log whether you make a call and how long it is, but not the number you are calling. We monitor your web traffic in bytes, but nothing about specific data you are accessing.

Please contact us if you have any questions or want more information. More information is available at our website, including a FAQ.
