You sound like a person that didn't enjoy your military service. I don't think anyone is saying g McCain would of been a better president. You are the one trying to prove Obama is such a great man. Look at how he sent our. National debt to an all time high giving money to corporations that should of went under from bad buisness practices. Look at Obama's budget for 2012. It saves a trillion but at the same time creates 7 trillion in more debt. He still sent it in thinking it would pass. Obama is in over his head and I hope the country can survive when his term is up.

Have you not heard of the Community Reinvestment Act? Obama claimed we would not see unemployment over 9%, where are we now? What did all of that extra spending get us? More in debt? Where in the world is the government going to get all of that money to pay back creditors? Nobody wants to give any with their own little interest groups, we would have riots like the ones in Egypt if the Government started taking away entitlements, but sadly, that is what needs to give the most.

You must have missed when the stock exchange lost half its value. When just about every publicly traded company started to fire thousands upon thousands and ten thousand and more. You must realizenot those markets have pretty much stabilized. Or, just about all those companies have started rehiring. You must not realize how big Bush's budgets were. Or that obamas budget includes the two wars that bushs didnt. Or, that most of that money was given away by bush, and not obama. Please. Go enjoy your tea party.

(mod hat on) Not liking where the invective is headed - I think we can all post with a little less sarcasm, yet still make the required points, mmmmk?

I've no intention of modding well-placed jabs by either side - just keep it on the cool, thanks in advance.

And, wtf does the level of my enjoyement with regards to my military career have to do with ANYTHING. I enjoyed it fine though. Used it as a stepping stone to get where I am now. Made life long friends, and didn't die. I wouldn't change it. Not that it has anything to do with anything.

One I am not a tea party lover. So for you to say that is insulting. I remember Obama giving money out to GM, and other companies because they ran their company poorly. Whatever happened to when a buisness goes bankrupt. That company closes the door. We didn't need GM around. When is Obama going to bring the troops home. He hfs two years left and he still hasn't moved them. Just taken troops from Iraq and moved them to Afghanistan.

So if you enjoy the smoke Obama blows up your skirt that's fine. Me personally wont be drinking his cool aid.

I know as cruel and callus as it may seem, but the government budget would have been better off without the spending to "save people's jobs" Unemployment pays $0.25 higher than minimum wage, where is the motivation to actually find a job? Some people think it is beneath them to flip burgers at McDonald's, but you do what you have to do to support your family. Just because you have a piece of paper called a degree, doesn't mean you will be making gobs of money and actually have a job. Nobody is supporting Bush with his budget. The title is called Obama Economics, not Bush vs. Obama.

But, you are blaming him, while drinking bush's cool aid. Bush gave the money away. Bush started the wars, and never even had a plan. Hell, he declared victory in Iraq how long ago?

Well, you know how many more people that are unemployed to get that .6%? When the first rounds came up, he actually said 8%.

BTW, how do you calculate a job created or saved? I would like to see the formula for that.

As a side note, Obama did say he would close Gitmo within a year as a campaign promise. Gitmo is still in business.

WTF? I never started saying anything about Bush, you did. When is the left going to stop playing the blame game on the previous administration? Just make the best of it. I don't recall Bush dumping on Clinton...

So you think mcdonalds had enough jobs to employ the millions who lost theirs. You think the housing market would be better if there twice as many defaults. And the third post down, is me, saying meat the new guy, same as the old. All I am saying, is at least put the blame where the blame is due.

This has been a long time coming, before Bush, before Clinton, if you really want to blame someone, blame FDR that is the root of this problem. Actually yes, I am saying that would be best if the loans were defaulted, maybe people would learn their lesson instead of expecting the government to help them. I'm just talking about minimum wage jobs, not just McDonald's in particular.

How do I get rewarded for having my house paid off? The people who couldn't pay for their homes still get to keep them thanks to the government.

Im not left, and Im not really a fan of Obama. I just see where the blame truly belongs. Like I said, he didn't promise that, he projected it. Like I said, he was pretty close.

As far as gitmo, your right. No arguement against. I would just like to point out the thread title to you. Gitmo doesnt fit with economics. If I'm not allowed to say where the blame really belongs because of the thread title, how can you bring up gitmo? And, I agree with your point on gitmo.

Just because I don't agree with Obama that I have to be a bush supporter? Well I am not. So I guess next you will say I drink Reagan kool aid? All politicians are the same no matter if they are Democrats or Republicans. They lie and about all they can do.

given the state your economy is in, increasing supports to the working poor is a better option than wage rises, or welfare cuts

Did i say your were on the left? I said the left, not nlsme.... Someone else brought up Gitmo. I'm just saying that he has not really followed through on anything he said.

    Depends on the Koolaid flavor.

The economy went into the toilet while Obama was running for president, so he knew what he was in for and he still wanted the job. At the end of the day the buck stops with the current president, not previous ones.

If you look at the economy the day he took office, and compare it to today, well yeah, thats obama. Unemployement was skyrocketing that day, it has since leveled off, and is actually starting to fall. Look at the stock markets, That jan 20 they were going off that cliff, again, they are now stable well above were they were that day. The banks were failing at astounding rates then too, not so much anymore. Home values were falling fast, not so much anymore. Energy costs were through the roof, now, they are below their highs in the bush era.

You are entitled to be wrong, but we've been around this time and time again, and if the facts don't sway your mind... there's nothing else I can say.
