I'm having some wierd battery guage behaviour... it seems that if i'm on a higher power-consumption profile, then the battery guage gets lower. Let me use an example: when I am using it outside, with full brightness screen, GPS, etc on, the battery meter will show 37%, when I go inside, turn the screen brightness down, GPS off, etc. the battery meter goes up to about 50-60%.

    Does anyone else experience this?

It's sort of predictive - tells you how long you've got at current use. But yeah, it's normal.

Hrm, then why's it given as a percentage instead of a 'time left until battery goes flat'?
Wouldn't it make more sense that way? When I ask for a percentage... I'm... asking for a percentage.

It might be reading the voltage level instead of getting a mAh reading. When the phone is drawing more current, the voltage level will drop. (V=IR)

Quoted for truth. Android cannot read amperage.
