When I press the icon for text messages, the app displays so my recent conversations show. It then shows the phone number and the message below it for previous texts. The after a few seconds, phone number is replaced by my contacts name, then the picture of the person displays a few seconds later. It's very delayed.

I have 651 contacts is that slowing it down? That's not that many. I'm new to droid so maybe this is standard. Also, I searched for this thread before posting it, if duplicate, my bad!
