I noticed that the Official ESPN Radio App has been released.

What I find baffling is that the creator blocked all rooted phones from using the app. I have a N1 and have been listening to ESPN Radio using the flash enabled site but would prefer a app because with flash you can't shut the screen off. Anyone try the app yet?

wow, since ESPN is so close to Apple I really never thought this would come out for android. Checking now.

Well, maybe I'll wait until all the leBron crap dies down.

NM, not going to pay for it, what a load of crap. $5? and you proably still have to listen to ads?

Of course it has ads, it is just a feed of ESPN radio stations. I will continue to use the flash site till they fix the not usable on rooted phones. I am not rooted but I find that to be a bunch of BS which Android users shouldn't stand for.

Why would you charge $5 for something you can get free on the web? This is kind of like Hulu to me.

How are you getting it free on your phone? I can't get to some of the shows. Espnradio.com just takes me to a place where you can pick like 6 shows to listen to, none of which are live (I dont think).

I just want to listen to The Herd on weekday mornings.

I have been listening to the world cup on the right of the page it says listen live. You need flash to use it.

The only problem is you can't turn off the screen with flash.

You're better off buying RadioTime. You can listen to ESPN and hundreds of other stations. It's great.

So you can listen to ESPN live, and not just podcasts? And can you only listen to your local ESPN and not the national broadcast?
