It doesn't appear any of you agree with this review of the GN. (i admit most of you know a lot more about phones than i do) It made me wonder why I've been waiting for the GN since I really liked the Rezound the day I went to Verizon to check it out. It also makes me wonder if I should just keep waiting for something better to come along, maybe even the iPhone 5. Dare I say that on here? Although I could buy it and then give it to my son when he is eligible for an upgrade so i could buy myself another new phone. Is that wrong?
I'm getting everybody ready - just in case. I hope Verizon would not be that foolish, otherwise this is going to happen
The one thing about the droid 4 that has me hopeful is that I really don't remember a big ad campaign about the droid 3. If there was one, I must have missed it. So even though it is one of their motorola babies, it won't be the favorite because the razr is. And since that is already out, they might let the nexus slide along with it.
Issue I have is don't know if my quad core laptop can handle it it had some issues with running wow earlier his year sadly
You're welcome. Sorry I couldn't be the bearer of better news. Thank you. Glad you're still with us. Hang in there. It can't be much longer.
He does know more than us. No joke. Just for the fact that he has a Verizon LTE GNex and we don't. He is a developer and in the industry. He has friends who work in strategic locations. So he does know more than us, but at the same time, his info is only as good as what his friends tell him. Not unlike Steven's sources, or even Han's sister. I think all of them are trying to relay a release date with the best info they know. Unfortunately, the actual drop date will be set by upper management, and none of them will be talking. What makes P3 difficult is he knows some info, and will only share it if he gets the limelight. Pulling info from him is painful, but he jumps around infront of everyone like the gloating sore-winner, taunting everyone. If Steven gets some info, he shares it right away. If Han Solo gets the opportunity to get the date from his sister but not share it, he declines the info because he will only share it. If P3 got the 100% confirmed drop date, he'll dance around in front of everyone, saying ha-ha, I know something that you don't.
I will be honest, the thing about the Vigor that bothers me the most, is we have no idea how Sense is going to be implemented with ICS. What if it takes away from it, and is actually worse than gingerbread.
Whoops. Sorry I meant Phases. Resembles Pahease. God, this thread, lack of a release, and some quality liqour really has my head spinning.....
I'm no hater on HTC, I love my Incredible, but I'm honestly expecting HTC to destroy ICS with Sense. It'll most likely have a sluggish overlay just like with their other phones. I half expect it to look identical to the GB version of Sense considering HTC's lackluster phones recently. Then again, that's just my 2 cents.
We do also know some of his sources are less than reliable, or he makes stuff up, cause he gets stuff wrong more than our sources here it seems.
Yeah same here, my entire android life has been on a sense phone. I love it. But ICS just looks so smooth, it just doesn't have the opportunity for improvement that all other versions had.
What was the dealbreaker? Not sure what the problem would be. Couldn't you just add your favorite launcher and away you go?
YouTube is formatting is screwing up because 1. It cannot be posted as an image - post it as a url 2. It must NOT contain "player" "embedded" in the link. If it does, you're doing it wrong. Please don't go on to post two pages of exactly that, like last time after I asked. Favorite vids, including the one deleted, are here - http://androidforums.com/samsung-galaxy-nexus/449547-galaxy-nexus-greatest-video-hits.html It's the third post in the thread. Finally - and I'm not going to post this in red or anything else - my patience is at absolute end with the use of feminine hygiene products as a vulgarism. Next occurrence of it will net an escalated response.
Slug and I and a few others have been in most of the day. I'm watching to see if nj02vette's friendly warning about starting lame rumors, given twice, is going to gain traction. I've been watching that very closely. The rest we'll catch up on in our other venues.
Very true. People seem to forget that once they become "popular", they should have a duty to be a little more mindful of what they post, and to carefully vet any sources before dissemenation. But he just enjoys yanking people's chains to get a reaction sometimes. Part of the look-at-me syndrome. Sad part is I honestly like the guy. He's done some great development work, and we want him on our side once the GNex and future handsets get released. I see some nice updates and tweaks coming in our future.
