Got to keep the salt handy... Even a broken clock is right twice a day.
My contract ends in April, I have unlimited data. As long as i purchase phones off contract I can keep unlimited data forever or what? Thanks
If they do away with the unlimited data couldn't we just cancel our contract without an ETF?
Galaxy Nexus Release Date Said To Be Same As Droid 4
I think someone could do a better job at this, but this is what the Nexus is saying to Verizon. Fairly Cheesy, but I had fun.
Release Me Now (Galaxy Nexus) - YouTube
You'll still receive unlimited data at least until the end of your contract date.
I could see them saying no if you were going from 3G to 4G for example, or 4G to fake 5G. But if you weren't "switching technologies" I don't know how they would break that.
Good find, but its still citing the same "leaked screenshot" and nothing more. Sigh.
Phonearena posted their review of Gnex. Overall they are impressed except the video camera. But to me that video samples don't look so bad.
Samsung Galaxy Nexus Review - Performance and Conclusion
Switching technologies should have nothing to do with it. You pay for the data, period. The speed at which that data is transferred has no effect.
Count me among the snow lovers. Though I am amazed every year at the number of Chicagoans who seem to forget they live in an area that experiences all four of the seasons. The first snowfall every year, now matter how little, always causes chaos.
They aren't going to take away peoples unlimited data. You just won't be able to get unlimited data anymore on contracts and plan changes after March (which is a speculative date but just being used as reference).
Rumors are the owner was reading about the GNex when it happened :
Apple iPhone spontaneously combusts aboard flight in Australia
WE ARE MERELY SPECULATING ON A SPECULATION. laughable when you think about it. Ill just cross that bridge when I get to it.
Ya know, I'm about tired of fighting the fight. I hate hate hate Apple. Or it did when I bought my Dinc.
The longer this takes, the more I question my sanity. My drop dead date for the Gnex is December 8th. If it's not here, I'm moving to the 4S. My wife is already scheduled to get her 4S this month. I stay because I'm so deeply wrapped in the Google ecosystem. I love Gmail and Calendar. Those two are not enough to keep me.
Flash is fading, Android manufacturers are becoming more iLike with non-replaceable batteries, no SD cards. It seems the only difference is the symbol on the back.
Tick-Tock time is running out on my patience.
Why are you yelling? I already clearly stated I was only using March as a reference for discussion.
So there is a poll on that page asking which phone people are more excited to get, and it's 88% v. 12% in favor of the Gnex. It must be killing Verizon that people are not just falling in line with the Moto Droid push.
I, too, was wondering what those of us with grandfathered unlimited will have to look forward to once we're told we can't have it anymore. Who knows? Perhaps they'll have made 4Gb the new lower data tier by then and replace 2Gb completely (or cheapen it). I would hope they'd offer us 4Gb. Even if some of us would never get that high in a month, it's the principle pf the thing. Mind you, two years from now when everyone has 720p screens and is slurping down video streams, they might not have a choice but to give us that.
Hopefully also by then I can find a keyboarded smartphone my wife will like. She loves the Rhyme, but can't do virtual keyboards. At the same time, she hated the ally and feels the keyboard on the Stratosphere is too flat. Even though the Droid 4 will be smaller than the RAZR, she'll still find that too large for her liking. And feature phones are starting to become an endangered species, it seems. The last phone she loved was one of the messenger phones on Cricket.
I guess Verizon doesnt care if the launch date competes with any other phone....Lets hope no Tech Wizard passes away to delay this release date rumor.
Very True, I just don't plan on making ANY changes to my family share plan. The only thing I would ever change is the actual phone(but off contract). Basically saying I will NEVER sign another contract as long as there is no "unlimited" data plan. I will just pay, month to month after my contract ends
Don't ever call me Irwin....
You have those backwards 86 % gnex now, 14 % D4.
*edit* NVM, misread what you said.
The poll at the bottom of the article is telling.
Sorry, didn't mean to yell. Just trying to make it stand out amongst the clamor. My post wasn't directed towards you, it was just the last one I saw referencing the same "leak". I just find it unproductive and even somewhat misleading to speculate on something posted by some member on a forum since there is no other confirmation of this.
