I just purchased the official Samsung galaxy tab 10.1 case off Samsung and was wondering if any or you already have it. Please share your thoughts on the case, pictures would be nice too. I will update once i get mine in the mail. :)

Galaxy Tab? 10.1 Book Cover Case | Samsung Mobile

REVIEW: As I am writing this review, I am using my tab with the case on. It is very stable as you type and its very easy to type on. The elevations that the case gives you are perfect. The texture throughout the case are very good and comfy to walk around with. This case does add more width and weight to the tab, but any case would do that. The case when in a slight angle will make the tab back words, some apps do not work back words like YouTube, fruit ninja. But when in the tall angle, the tab is not back words. But all in all, I would def. Recommend this case to anyone. A++

Hmm it looks like a great case. You have to make sure to give us your review of it. I might just get it. :)

I have that case and its awesome. Its very sturdy, and sleek. I love the fact that it is not bulky, so the tab is still very thin. You can set up the tab in different ways for viewing, like propping it up to watch a movie or a light incline if you are leaning over it. I also like the fact there is no buttons or clasps to hold the cover closed. It seems like it is held closed by a magnet. Overall I like this case and it was exactly what I was looking for. There is a cut out for the headphone jack and the rear facing camera, but the recharging jack is covered, so to recharge it you have to slide open the cover a little. That would be my only negative comment. I would recommend this case.

I have it. It's AWESOME!!!! Buy it and you will love it too. Sturdy, thin and can be used as a stand on a desk in just about any angle, not to mention that it has cool brandings on the front and back.

After thinking about that, I think it's for heat dissipation during charging. I was thinking of cutting open a slot at the bottom until I thought of heat build up.

I have it. It's a very nice case. My only complaint is that youtube videos, in full screen mode using the app, will be upside down when using the case in typing mode.

Seems upside down to get to the power buttons when you open it in landscape as well. Trying to take a picture would be better too if the camera hole were away from the hinge too.

I use my tab mostly in portrait mode especially when I am on the internet. But I need to find a case pretty quick, I dropped my non-cased fascinate yesterday on the driveway and scratched up the sides pretty bad.

Is it me or do some apps only show up on landscape mode? For example the market.

the only thing i noticed which didnt make much sense to me was that with the case open, you cannot use the back camera or led flash.
i don't use the camera at all but i do like to use the led flash as a flash light time to time.

I understand but you could take the pic but you have to hold up the cases flap which is annoying. I don't think that should make a huge deal because it would look weird taking pictures with.. lol

I purchased the Belkin slim case at Best Buy but i'm considering this as its almost the same price, plus this is OEM.

MutantCheese....I noticed in your pics that you resized some of your widgets, how did you do that? People say to long hold a widget and a box appears with diamonds to resize however I don't get the diamonds, just the box which only allows me to move it.

It's just as you stated, long hold, box with diamonds appear, stretch as need. NOTE: Not all widgets have this ability, but the stock gmail widget will def stretch.

Just got the Samsung case this morning in the mail. Way better than the Belkin I had (the thicker one of the 2 they offer). As already stated, it puts the Tab in the perfect angles for viewing and typing. You can turn the tab upside down with the flap hanging down and easily use the camera if one needs to use the camera.

Great case. Glad I took back the Belkin and got this one. Ordered it on Friday and it came in the mail in Monday.

Yeah I don't think too many people will be complaining about the OEM case. The case itself is attractive which adds to the galaxy tab 10.1. I think I even like this case better than the smartcover made for the Ipad 2. I'm a big fan of the otterbox case which I have for the original tab, but even if they made one for the tab 10.1 I think I'll still stick to this one.

I am questioning the durability of the flap though. With constant open/closing, I wonder if the flap will eventually see a tear......I guess only time will tell.
