Yes, I'm still hyped about this phone. I think the enhanced voice controls are just the beginning. Motorola still has a few surprises up their sleeves....

What are you guys hoping to see?

I'm hoping to see a new phone that I can have now. A phone that runs great and has a great camera!

I am really looking forward to this phone. It may be the only thing keeping me on Verizon past my renewal date in December.

You may not need Verizon to have it

For me T-mobile is the only other choice and I'm in a dead zone for them. :( I haven't been impressed with wifi calling so I wait.

What am I hoping to see? A phone that showcases the latest and greatest, while being practical and not a piece of crap. Bearing in mind that I've had a GNex for some time now...

    1. Good battery life. Scratch that, exceptional battery life. I feel like the point of a mobile phone is to be mobile. A long work day - particularly one that involves a lot of travel without opportunity to plug in - is brutally impractical on the GNex. If Moto X doesn't check this box, I'll just go to the Razr Maxx HD DoubleThrowdown Ultra++ whatever it's called.

    2. Strong radio. I'll be hard pressed to go back to another Samsung (Samdung) after the GNex weakness - especially the random mute crap.

    3. Good camera. I'm excited about what I hear so far.

    4. Fast updates. Self explanatory.

    5. All the other good stuff.

Bottom line, after having been happy with Motorola products before and then being immensely disappointed by the Samdung GNex, one way or another I'm coming back to Motorola. Question is Razr or Moto X, obviously I'd be inclined to the latter unless there are major issues.

I'm with you Tom. I own the Verizon Galaxy Nexus and finally broke down and bought some Anker 2200 mAh replacement batteries. My stock 1850 mAh was starting to really show its age.

I am cautiously optimistic. I am fine with the specs. I can live with the battery. I am mildly disappointed by the 16 GB and no mico sd slot. I am excited about the sensors, I am excited about the user interface, I love the size and form factor.

    What we don't KNOW yet:
Is it durable and water proof as was teased VERY early in this process?
What are my case options? (Materials not so much colors)
What are the "exciting features" that have not yet been leaked that have been recently eluded to?

I can't make a definitive decision until I get the full scoop ... so come Aug 1st, we shall see.

All that said I WANT to love this phone, I am a Moto guy and I NEED a new phone.
