The article says "Only a few hundred Nexus Ones were sold, and most of its users are app devs."

Should I believe anything it says?

Well if all this is true and the resolution is 960x480 or higher with the super view technology like the sharp is03 phone(retina display) then this phone should be a beast.

I read so much hate about Samsung, that I'm just gonna say this. I like Samsung. :) Yeah, GPS has issues, but everything else is great.

Anyways, since when Google releases a phone, it's usually meant to be a dev phone. So I wouldn't be surprised if this does become a better phone than the Nexus One. I don't think Google would want its devs to have a phone that will have problems if it can't be fixed via software. Google did a pretty good job in supporting the Nexus One with updates, so I would expect the same with this one. I might just sell off my Vibrant for this phone if it does become true.

Even though it might have that plastic feel, just put a case on it. Only the back (battery cover) feels like plastic. Everything else feels solid. On the Vibrant anyways.

The feel of the N1 is one of the reasons I like this phone so much. When you pick it up it has a certain weight behind it (not too heavy) and in combination with the metal body it feels like a very expensive device. It's just a much different feel then the plastic and lightness of the Vibrant. I am not saying the Vibrant isn't a nice phone, I have played around with it and it is a quick and snappy device, but I would take the N1's body construction over the Galaxy's any day.

Which is why it's hard to take half of what Gizmodo reports seriously. I for one hope it isn't Samsung that makes the N2, the N1 is an awesome phone and thankfully the Desire is identical to it hardware wise which is almost as good.

I can see Samsung overproducing (such a thing?) the N2, they're out to sell as many of their devices as they can despite the competition much like Ayrton Senna was out to get as many wins as he could even with the heavy competition he faced. I just don't like the cheapy external build the Galaxy series has.

danm, a nexus two comming out as well, i was naving a tough time deciding weither to get a galaxy tab now or wait and see what google itself does for a tablet, i'd much rather stick to googles own as its most likely to get the updates first.
N2, hmmm, already having an N1 i won't be in a rush, but i hope it does have as good a car dock as the N1 has got, well it can do with being a whole lot louder, as can the phone
it would need all vid/display out an upto date cam / vid (8mp+)

oh and one thing that all top smartphones have missed, a solar panel for self charging, would that be a viable option?

you guys do realize there had to have been a tight lip clause between Google and Samsung right... It would be Samsungs job to deny the rumor. We shall see

haha, that's part of the game, isn't it. Ramage rumors and the manufacturer denying the leak info :p

Well from the rumors, it seems that there might be a Samsung Google experience phone, like the G1 or moto Droid, but I'm not too sure that it'd be a GOOGLE phone, lol.

Right now I'll believe Samsung over Gizmodo's "looked like a Galaxy from 10 feet away but must be a Nexus 2" crappy report.
