The rule states that the attacking player cannot be beyond the 2nd to last defender, which in this case was the keeper. There must be two defensive players between the attacker and the goal when the ball is played. It's very rare that the keeper is actually that second to last defender, but in this case he was. This is one reason why many coaches will only put one man on the post in a corner kick...though it's usually more comforting to have two on the posts.
