So I flip this thing and home screen, Phone app, apps, music player do not go into Landscape mode. Is there a setting somewhere or something? Its really annoying when its docked in the car in landscape mode.

no i dont believe there is. The home screen isnt meant to flip, some players and apps dont support landscape. If they dont do it for me right away sometimes i stand it upright then flip it and it will work but Home screen doesnt landscape

If its the stock music app it does go into landscape view.

I'm guessing you came from a phone with a skin like Samsung or HTC? Stock android does not have a lot compatible with landscape, mainly navigation, videos and games. This is one of those areas the manufacturer's like to add on. This is why I don't get why people like Landscape docks.

Download Alarm clock plus and set it to do dock mode when charging. It works in landscape, and their are lots of other apps that can do this.

Ok, makes sense now. Yeah the car dock doesnt have as much appeal now.
