OK, it is done. We have Froyo!! Now what? Where is the Gingerbread??? P:
lol yea now i wonder what everyone will talk about since so many of the threads were about froyo
tbh, Froyo was never really all that special for me from the start.
I want Gingerbread and its new UI!
got the update. Now my phone is totally useless! It is unresoosive and stuck checking satus updates, none of my buttons work...NOTHING! Would't even shut off. Had to do a battery pull, and still doing the same thing. :/
Thats no good bro!
You Def. need to make a post in the support forum so you get some attention for that issue!!
My Droid 1 did that after loading froyo roms. It turned out to be a corrupted memory card. Try taking your sd card out of your phone, if you have a spare card you can try that, if you don't just leave your card out of the phone and reboot. If the phone is fine without the card, then you will need to move your files off your card and reformat the card. Then move only essential files and folders back to the card.
ok, after a half an hour of sh!tting bricks, it's finally working.
It was probably bogged down downloading all your contacts and apps.
Mine does that for a while after updating too, just not to the extent he described i guess.
If there is one thing I dislike about froyo is that it automatically tries to download and install all of your apps after installation of an OS or update.
haha I know right.. Talk about a bottleneck!
Yeah the stupid thing keeps installing apps I've uninstalled.
How do we turn it off?
Montuhotep - I had the same problem initially after I installed the updgrade. I updated LauncherPro and after a few batt pulls it seems to have worked itself out.
Only remaining item is my battery drained quickly this morning... but that may be to my constant playing with the phone to see whats new.
I like the smell of Gingerbread...
But for the love of God PLEASE no more threads about it
My brothers wifes nephew knows a girl that has a brother whose boyfriend is a CSR at a Verizon store who said gingerbread will be out 2/2/11.
You probably have a back up copy of your settings and apps stored on Google servers. After update or hard reset your phone, you must disable automatic restore of those.
It is easy. On the very beginning, when you are just about to sign in into your Google account, just press Menu button and disable it. That is it. Hope this would help.
thats me!!! and the chick is LYING!!!!!
what i said was......
$h!#,,,,i dont remember what i said.............
But I don't want to reset and go back that far. Isn't there an option some place else?
You realize you just outed yourself?
