YouTube - HTC ThunderBolt vs. Verizon iPhone 4 - Schmackdown!
wish we would have seen some browser tests or something. . nice non the less
i really want the iphone, have ever seen the first one came out.. but im liking this Incredible. It will be down to the Incredible HD, TB, or Iphone 4
I wonder if the tester had the brightness down lower on the TB. I bet it wasn't cranked to full brightness. The LCD looked a bit dim.
I have never been enthused with the wirefly videos myself.
The bald headed guy from phonedog does a better job IMHO.
Would like to see more videos of this phone.... but from another point of view.
It may have been cranked down a Lil bit! But when you put an iPhone 4, or Super Amoled next to an LCD or even a Super LCD, the results are always the same....The LCD'S just don't measure up! Which brings me to my point. If they would have put a better screen in the TB, it would have been able to go up against anything coming out in the next 6 months. Not so much the case with so many phones with Beautiful displays, and unbelievable specs hitting this Spring!
You mean Noah? He's not with phone dog anymore! Noah was awesome, he's now rockin with TechnoBuffalo.
This Guy from Wirefly is pretty boring, Ari was much better and more informative!
Incredible HD? you mean the TB?
The TB blows the iPhone 4 out of the water.
I have an AMOLED now on my Inc. Am I going to be disappointed with the screen on the Bolt?
fixed it for you
No. It doesn't. Verizon will sell many more iPhones.
Still don't know which one to get -______- grrreat.
In terms of Phone capabilities, the Thunderbolt is a 100x better phone, dont even try to say it's not
In regards to the LCD brightness.... I have a Dinc and a DX and I always have the brightness up to 100% on both. The LCD on my DX seems much brighter/better looking than what I've seen in videos of the Tbolt so far. To me, a great looking screen is very important. I guess I'll just have to wait until I can compare them myself in person.
Agreed, but must admit the apps on my 64gb iPod DESTROY my Incredible. Streaming Netflix is stunningly good too. As a phone and media, web & Flash device though, Android all the way. iPod is my app and music buddy.
Still, the TB is overpriced and will mainly be for current discount ready folks. $800 with tax for a moderate EVO upgrade is IMO, nuts. Watch the price drop in about two months to $650 list.
My post is a tangent, but the iPhone is too. The app ecosystem is the priority- not the phone.
I was an Incredible owner, and bought the Iphone last week. I must say the Iphone has been a much better experience. I was ready to return the Iphone at first when I didn't know how to text quickly. Yes the TB may have more "processing" power, but how many people really need dual core power. I primarily use Facebook, e-mail. and text messaging. The battery life on the Droid Incredible drove me crazy..I then bought the extended life battery..and then discovered no cases for it..I never thought I would drop it but I did..twice when I was sick..so I was stuck with either a crappy battery and a case or an extended life battery and no protection. I don't have that worry with the Iphone. I have a case. The battery life is good and it serves my needs.
Android phone manufacturers should focus on things like battery life..phone cases...etc rather than trying to keep one upping each other with unnecessary processor power.
why do you people post here if you're i*hone fan boys?
I like open source.
I like multi-tasking.
I like real phones
For those people that game on their phones: Stop kidding yourselves and get an Xbox 360, PS3, and an NGP (PSP2 when it is released later this year).
