I seem to be having some problems getting this to work. I first installed the USB drivers mentioned in this thread. The phone is then able to connect to Windows Vista without issue in debug mode. However when attempting to run the batch file in either zip KMS or the ShabbyPrevailRoot it appears to fail. I have tried both with the SD card completely out of the device and also with the SD card in but unmounted. I think when I did my dad's droid 2 I had to set it to PC mode somewhere but haven't seen that on this device.

I had an issue at first. I rebooted my phone and killed all unnecessary apps and it went fine. Be patient and don't give the phone any input.
killingmesoftly will not work 100% of the time, this was put out so that people could have root while interdpth tweaks it more to perfect it, hence the
I had to try it around 10 times before my phone got rooted. My phone was in airplane mode and selected the option to keep the phone awake. I selected batch file at different times right after the the phone booted up. It failed a number of times before i got it working. Just keep trying.
Is the source for KillingMeSoftly available? I understand that KMS is based of KillingInTheNameOf, but I would like to see what was changed to make this work.
there is a mac/linux version now run.sh needs to be made executable then you can run it gu1dry :O what brings you to this neck of the woods???
I will be releasing the source, I want to make a few more modifications, and get this working for as many as possible before I release it. KMS is just a few bug fixes, and a weird timing issue fix. And of course the one click roots. So gimme about a week at most to release it(probably this sunday) It's also still 80% KITNO
An acquaintance of mine was asking about rooting the Prevail. Still currently rocking my (old) HeroC, not sure when & to what I'll upgrade this bad boy next though. What phone you using these days?
