I got my first android, a AT&T skyrocket around the 15th. I had to have it replaced with in week due to echo issues that could not be resolved. Case or no case. New phone has no echo at all.

I downloaded Kies. As soon as it loaded it asked if I wanted it to update. Big mistake after update it would show errors when starting kies up and would not move music to phone. I uninstalled kies and then reinstalled. this time I didnt let is update and now it works great.

Okay my first newbie question how do you backup you apps?

When you get the answer to that let me know also. I know how to backup the phone but I see no options for backingup apps.

I don't know if this is the best answer, but when you download an app in the market or amazon app store it saves it to your account. You can uninstall an app, go to the app store, and reinstall it from there. That's how I've always retrieved my apps- any better ways out there guys/ladies??

There is an app called MyBackup Pro that I used when going from Galaxy S2 to the Skyrocket. Seemed to save off all of my apps and settings etc.
