So I just got a replacement DROID today after having lots of dust under my screen, and my old Keyboard was way more bubbly than this new one, both are 39/09 build dates too...I dont mind the flat one, but it is much different.

i kind of like the flat keyboard better, its more firm...I suprisingly have way less typos then I did with the bubbly keyboard.

I have the bubbly keyboard and i think i fly with these keys. But i have never tried the flat maybe its better or worse. But i can't complain about the keys. Bubbly FTW.

ive been noticing over the past week or 2 as i run into more droid owners that a lot of the flat keyboarders, if not all of them, have very blueish/purpleish backlighting on the back/menu/home/search keys where as mine, a bubbly keyboard, are completely white with no other color present.

why would motorola allow such a drastic difference in manufacturing!!! as dumb as it is, i might email them. i just want to know why, even though its not a big deal. I just fear receiving a flat keyboard one if i ever need a replacement

I have seen raised bubbled keyboards and I would much rather have had that then the flat. Maybe in Droid 2 eh?

Ugh, you guys think I would be able to exchange one for a bubbly keyboard one?

I got my current phone Feb 7th...so I'm still under the 30 day warranty, but I sent in the box UPS code for rebates, etc.

    Anything I can do?

i thought that but mine was made 49/09 and its bubbly. my aunts was made 39/09 and its flat. another coworker has a 51/09 and hers is flat. So ive seen and older and new phone have a flat keyboard with mine, made between theirs, being bubbly

okay good so it's supposed to be like that? I thought my droid was broken or something.. cause sometimes it feels like it's so raised so much that it's off the internal keys... buuut guess it's not broken... just different!

thats my plan. my camera has some issues from time to time where it takes super bright pictures at times and super dark ones (like it flashes to late/early). it hasnt happened in a week or so but its very very annoying wen ur trying to get a quick picture of something.

i dont want to trade it in and end up flat...

Having used both of them ya it does. I had a lot harder time typing on the flat one.

U can see from other responses in the thread that I'm not the only one
