No option to default to call when a contact is tapped on?
I would like to know this as well.
When I send a text to a contact it sends it to the default number even if it's a landline, which is pretty stupid. Calling the default number would be sensible, but it doesn't do so.
My GS4 automatically calls the contact when I lift the phone up to my ear. I know that's an optional setting... but I can't find where to adjust the setting at the moment.
Swipe the contact right to call the default number, left to text them.
Thank you, I had completely forgotten you could do that.
Anyone know where the setting is that lets you call the currently displayed contact by lifting the phone to your ear? I remember seeing that setting early on, but for the life of me, can't find where you enable/disable that function now.
Settings > My Device > Motions and Gestures > Motion > Direct Call
Thank you. I am embarrassed at how long I searched for that without finding the right place to look!
Thanks guys, never knew about the swipe.
You can also set up a direct dial shortcut (widgets - direct dial)
Yep, that's what I did. On my home screen I have direct dial shortcuts for the two people I call the most (and direct text shortcuts also).
