Got my One X on Monday this week, haven't had any problems until now and thought it was a great phone. Just finished making a call though, went to press "End Call" and the screen didn't switch back on and now doesn't seem to want to do anything. Have plugged into the mains and it's not charging but when I call the phone externally it still rings.... Confused is not the word!

If you press and hold the power button for 10 seconds or more does it force a restart like it should?

Sounds like the screen died? This is what warranties are for. Condolences.

karmamule... Thanks a lot! Worked a treat. Didn't know how to do that, wonder what caused it though. Hope it doesn't do it too much!

Same story. Today it just went blank.

Just spent way too much time setting up the phone the way I like it (just apps and settings, not rooted) . holding power key for over 10 sec. did reset it. Thanks for the tip

Not very comforting to say the least. Hopefully this is not a sign of things to come..Great phone otherwise.

Got the phone Thursday and this happened to me Saturday. Finally plugged it in and held down the power button for 10 seconds.

I got my phone when it first came out, and very recently it has started doing this. When it does happen - which isn't always - it hangs after making a call. The 10 second press reboots it. This happened before and after the latest update (1.29.40).
