If for whatever reason you don't like the default keyboard on the OnePlus 5, you can change it really easily.
First, you'll need to download a 3rd party keyboard app from the Google Play Store. From there, you'll need to enable it by following these steps:

- Tap Virtual Keyboard
- Select one from the list, or tap Manage keyboards
- Enable the desired keyboard app
- Press back and choose it from the list
