Okay this is really pissing me off. I turned my phone off and now when I turned it back on it stays in the bootload android screen. If I press the cube button it goes to cube and then I'm able to navigate around to internet and other media features but it refuses to load up the home screen.

Is there anything I can do without having to do a hard reset. I don't want to reload all my apps over again.

Try holding down the talk button and saying "open manage applications" from there uninstall open home. Hope that works!

after the hard reset did you have to re-search for all your apps in the market or were they all there in the "my downloads"?

Only the ones I purchased were there. I had to search for everything else.
