Is he returning the phone or taking it in for service? What hboot does he currently have?

He is returning the phone. Hboot 2.10.001 says s-off. It will not even reboot flashed Rom, just stays at bootloader screen. I can get into recovery and apply from zip, but when I try to recover any restore says md5 mismatch. Is there some zip File I could move to his SD card and flash stock ROM? I've read about some ruu.exe file, but I can't. Even get phone into sync mode nor understand what I would do after that regardless. Please help.

Go to the rooting for dummies guide and follow the directions in the after rooting section under unroot.
