Optimization or Signal

Is it Optimization or poor signal... I get normal speed at home which is in a rural area but when I go to work which is in the sunny metropolis of Batavia NY 20,000 or so. I am getting about -75 to -83dbm with 2 to 3 bars. They are trying to tell me its because I use a lot of data but I honestly dont believe that because the radio in this phone sucks

The radio in the GNex works just fine. Turn off 4G and then do a battery pull. I'm getting the same 3G signal on my GNex as I do on my Droid X with zero signal issues.

Verizon is having 4G issues, but 3G works just fine. Use 3G until the issues are worked out.

I tried that.... It seems to be working ok they tried telling me its because I am a data whore

Mine had constant problems with signal. Only calls I ever dropped was with the nexus.
