It seems the Optimus L7 is the same as the Venice, can anyone confirm this?

If it is, will CWM for L7 work for Venice?

    Thanks!

I find things on the net to indicate they are the same phones just different carriers. Different carrier almost always require a unique root approach. You will need to do some very serious research before assuming same root. Without knowing.. I'd say NOPE.
It's not worth bricking a phone to find out IMO. If you prove me wrong, please return and let everyone know. I'd love to be wrong. Thanks for using these forums and I hope you enjoy your time here.

LG makes several versions of the L7 including the Venice, the Splendor, and the Showtime. But, each version has unique software to enable it to work on a particular network and with a particular carrier.

Reviews of the L7, the Splendor, and the Venice suggest that they operate very differently, with the Venice "feeling" faster in many functions than the L7...evidence of very different software.

As of May 18, 2013, the Venice is being upgraded to 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, while the Splendor and Showtime are continuing to use Ice Cream Sandwich...making the software differences even larger.
