Trying to message two people at the same time on my nexus 4 but can't find anywhere to add a second recipient.
Seems to be limited support on Google.

I don't use the stock messenging app, but it looks like you can easily do this on both it and Handcent (which I prefer). Just type in another contact after the first.
I can't say this for certain since I don't have an N4, but I'm on the latest Gapps and firmware on my Galaxy Nexus.

Thanks that worked thought it was more complicated lol

The stock messaging application allows it, simply put multiple contacts in the 'To' field, it's really not a problem and hasn't changed much since Android 2.

You can add one name at a time, which is fine but slow, but can you check a box next to a bunch of names or something like that?

Cant see that
My phone before was a HTC one and seemed easier at the beginning to figure out lol

Handcent has select by check box, I don't see that in the stock app.

You can't tick boxes to select multiple people, can't say I find it slow but I'm not a massive texter, I prefer to speak to people! :)

you might be over thinking it. Assuming you have contacts, just start to type in a name, when the phone comes up with a suggestion, select this and it puts their name in the 'To' field (sort of in a box), when it's done this, just select the space to the right of their name and start typing another one - repeat as necessary...
