3 yrs ago is when it was posted.

it was not permission... legally.
but it shows that the CEO knew google was using it. and they never asked for any $$ to be paid by google.

now that Oracle owns Sun... Oracle wants a piece of the pie...
i think... Oracle case just got a lot weaker.
