My Orange San Francisco has been freezing a lot lately, and after the latest bout of this I shut it down using the power button, but then it wouldn't start again AT ALL!
However this problem was solved by simply removing the battery for a few moments and then replacing it - it booted up again and all seems hunky-dory, so I thought I would provide that tip.
Whether it solves the freezing issue I don't know...
