Hi i have a Oranger San Francisco aka Blade. When i turn it on it just stays on the green android so i went through all the motions (as stated below) to get it to boot into clockwork recovery (Turn phone off press and hold Vol+ and turn on, Plug into pc, run cmd and type 'fastboot-windows flash recovery recovery-clockwork-2.5.0.9-modaco-r2-blade.img' and enter. Then once rebooted typed 'fastboot-windows reboot') After all this was done i then removed the battery etc and then turned the phone back on whilst pressing and holding Vol- button. once i have don this it reboots to a little blue android and then nothing. (I cant beleve i have done all this just to change the little androids colour lol) Could anyone please help as i am stuck and all the help i can get will be greatly apreciated Thanks
Do you know if it's a Gen1 or Gen 2 handset? Also, do you have the SDK installed? Don't you need that for the fastboot commands?
I'm not entirely sure 2.5.0.9 is compatible with Gen 2 handsets. There are a list of recoveries here: [RECOVERY] : ClockworkMod Recovery for ZTE Blade [OLED+TFT] - Android @ MoDaCo Try downloading one of the Gen 2 img's from the link just over half way down.
had the same problem, try the minus button with the on button then release the on button when it starts to boot up
