For some reason, this model was not in the message post drop down list. ACL A2 Tracfone, Android 10.

Just got this phone, can't figure out how to get past the initial/can't DO ANYTHING/"lock screen." Please see pic. My current phone is a Motorola running 8.1. Opens with a screen showing the wallpaper & time. Swipe up, there's my "home page" with all the app icons I've put there. HOW do I get to that place with this OS??? Very frustrated.

Uhh... Place with OS? Shouldn't it be by default?

If by slide you mean just swiping up, it does nothing. Only way I can get to the "desktop/homescreen" whatever you want to call it is by

1) sliding the * bar at the top down
2) select "manage"
3 push the round dot at the bottom between the arrow & square.

Surely there's some single step to get to the "desktop."

Is this a custom lockscreen? And you do not have to just swipe up.....as long as the lock icon moves across the screen, it shoud unlock the phone for you.

again try rebooting.

Is this actually your phone? A lock screen doesn't enable itself, it has to be configured and implemented.
However, if you 'just got this phone' as in you just bought it from someone or some retailer than its a matter of just going back to them to unlock it and disable the feature so you can then set up your own lock screen.

Yeah, I've never owned a Tracfone but that doesn't look like any stock lockscreen I've ever seen. And as @svim says you don't get a lockscreen on a new phone unless you set it up yourself. So it does sound like the phone had a previous owner who didn't remove their stuff (which is an odd thing to do, but possibly there are people who would forget that).

It's a Tracfone I bought online from a well known legit source where I've gotten them for years, going back to flip phone days. "Smart" phones from there have included several Samsungs, LG's & a Motorola (my current phone, moto e5, XT1920DL, battery crapping out so I'm replacing it), never had a problem. It is absolutely a new phone, came in a sealed box. Again, not my 1st Tracfone. I went into settings & ran all the updates, added a couple apps from "Google Play store", here's what the initial screen looks like after these updates: https://postimg.cc/xXKqF23C

Surely someone has seen this before. If not, can anyone suggest another place I might ask about this?

Thanks for all the replies.

OK, sliding the "Lock icon" to the right seems to be opening up the homescreen now. Now I'll see if I can transfer my Tracfone account to the new phone. Again, never had a problem with that before, but "we'll see..." ;-/

Thanks again for the input.

Glad to hear you worked it out.
If you go into settings, security, you should be able to disable the lock screen if you wish...
