after I updated to 4.3 and the OS is using 80% of the battery. Is this normal. I have installed JuiceDefender but am still having to recharge my phone several times a day. I use to be able to go with only one recharge a day.

I guess the OS could use 80% of the battery .. if it was in airplane mode and you hadn't used it for a couple of days. Otherwise, no: that's not normal.

Not too sure what the problem could be. Is the 4.3 update a kosher, manufacturer release or did you root and ROM to get it?

If it is a kosher release and the phone is under warranty, you're probably going to have to send it in for repair, in which case you're going to want to back everything up and do a factory reset (it's the first thing they're going to do anyway). After you've done your own factory reset, it might be worth hanging onto the phone for a day or so to see if the reset fixes the problem.
