Root OTA question

I'm running CyanogenMod6 Test8 right now, with the 1.X radio.

if I update the radio to 2.X, and install the skyraider ROM, what happens if I just get so sick of sense that I go into rom manager and restore to my previous CyanogenMod6 Test8? Will the radio still be 2.X? Would I still be able to switch between ROMs as easily as I do now, only difference being my radio is updated?

Now, I'm not a person you should automatically assume has the right answer BUT I believe the radio is independent of the ROM you use. However, if you want a vanilla ROM why not use Skyraider's vanilla version?

i was wondering this myself, i just came from cm6 test8.
