    Hello everyone!
I am using a Nexus 5 16 gb running android L preview. I flashed it after being too eager to try Android l. I flashed it using simple commands on minimal adb and fastboot on my pc. Now when I want the ota update of 5.0.1 (my phone is not rooted, checked it through root checker, lock state though is unlocked) the update centre says "system up to date" and the issue is that everyone nexus 5 user in my area has received the update except me. Help please.
P.s In recovery mode the red triangle and dead android appears.

Guess what, i'm still on 4.4.4 My phone says "up to date", and it's completely stock. So much for Nexus getting the first updates!

I do believe the preview firmware checks different servers than the production release, so as long as you are running a preview edition, you'll never see an OTA. I think El Presidente's suggestion is your best bet. Flash a factory image.

FWIW, the red triangle with the reclining robot just means you have stock recovery. When you see that screen you simply hold the power button and tap Volume Up to get into the recovery options (or it could be the other way around ... Hold voume up and tap power ... I haven't used stock recovery in ages:oops:).

You won't see 5.0.1 OTA if you're still on the L preview.
