Do you see other players on the map too? Or any indication? That'd be kinda cool.
Won't be any players from Singapore.
Sacked for ranting about no Pokemon GO in Singapore, possibly deported as well.
As of now no you can't see other players on the map. However I have heard that you can see what other players are fighting a gym while your fighting it. I haven't been able to test this yet.
I think there would need to be some kinda parental control feature for it. Or is that what Pokémon trainer club is for already?
Why a parental control feature?
Because there's potential for abuse, and people tend to re-use usernames.
Serious question. What kind of abuse and what would parental controls prevent?
Paedophiles looking for minors to groom, or other horrible things perhaps. Something Niantic would have to be very careful and aware of, especially with a social game that might be popular with younger players
There's potential for stalking a kid's exact whereabouts if you know his/her username in the game and could see the location of that username. That's just my worry, nobody wants the kinda thing.
A simple switch could prevent the use of that feature similar to the way there are controls for disallowing or allowing kids to purchase stuff within the game.
It doesn't even have to something as bad as paedophiles, what about say a school bully tracking the kid they are bullying?
