sometimes it is not convinient to take screenshots by sliding palm across the screen ...

    i am NOT rooted ...

are there any other ways to set our Note 3 to take screenshots?

    thank you!

Press & hold the power button & the home key at the same time until the screen flashes

You can use your s pen, hold the button on the pen then press the pen to the screen and hold till it shoots

My favorite way of doing screenshots. I have it set to go into edit mode and I can make necessary changes, before loading it up to photobucket.

    what a nice way ...

but that is what i would love to avoid getting USED to and HOOKED on!!

    s-pen .....

cause when i will lose Note 3 and will want to migrate to any other device ... i do not want to miss it .. and be hooked on it .... like i was to BlackBerry...

mate what exact OS version / update are you on?

please post a screen shot ...

    i am on uploadfromtaptalk1412618094546.jpg

i keep holding both buttons and nothing happens ... but after 15 or so seconds Note 3 will reboot (a feature of holding power button for a while )

    DOES it work for OTHERS?

    thanks ..

This should work for all OS versions, are you defiantly using power button and home centre button both at the same time? But 4.4.2 is the latest. Screen shots this way have been around since touch screen phones started hasn't it? You may have the feature disabled, I'm sure there is a way of activating it? But please don't quote me on that, its like I have the swipe feature disabled on mine. Try disabling the air gestures, that might help?

i imagined maybe it was/is some conflict with some software i installed ...

but i restared and it is working!!!

btw for the love of technology - this is just nkt working on my Galaxy Chat ... NO way at all to take any screenshot on it

see my post on it ..

    =======

also power+home was always the way on iPhone

but as u recall early Androids ckuld not take screenshots w/o root at ALL..

    something that was added later
