i just got my otterbox case 3/4/2011... one thing that i like about the case is it makes it easy to use the fingerprint scan, not bulky (like the defender), and it is durable..

I have this case for my Atrix. It is such a dust magnet. But it's a solid case that looks as if it can withstand drops and knocks. I just don't like the size of it. I'll be trying out an Incipio Feather case next.

Out of curiosity, is the screen protector the stick-on kind or does it just kind of float there in between the screen and the case?

The exposed silicone areas attract dust like any other silicone case. Cheers.

No idea what a floating protector is .. but this is the kind that sticks on and doesn't leave residue when you take it off.

Curious: if the phone falls flat on its face, will this thing protect it from shattering in thousands of pieces?

I get to try it on the next one. :(

It does look pretty solid to me, lol. Might save the phone from a fall.

What is the texture of the back? As it is the phone is a bit slippery. I'm coming from an iPhone 3G with an inCase Slider (pretty thick) so the size doesn't bother me that bad.

Textured hard plastic & silicone top/bottom edges. Grip is good.

Great pictures. Does it hold in the heat given off by the phone or allow it to vent? Do you have to remove it, in order to use any of the docks? Thanks

    just got this case...AWESOME.

coming from a cheapy TPU case which is nice but does not offer near the protection of this.

I will have to say the size is not bad at all compared to the defender

Commuter case + Zagg screen protecter = max protection
    efficiency

I've had my Outterbox Commutter Case since April and loving it. It will protect your phone well from drops and kicks. (Even if you drop it face down.) I have the Standard dock and it does fit. I only had to remove the hard plastic piece from the Outterbox Case and the dock plate cover, on the dock. The case feels really good in the hand and as others have said, it is a lint magnet. Just use some Windex on a paper towl to wipe it down. (Gotta clean the screen anyway.)
