After a long wait, automatic refund (?!), and reorder, I at last got an Otterbox for the A20S. I'm not sure it really fits, though. I had a tough time stretching the rubbery part around the phone, and have not been able to add the plastic part. It's hard to use some of the functions with the inner case on, and the screen is still not protected. Would I be better off getting some kind of waterproof package instead? How would I use the phone if it's in that? I recently saw an ad for a kind of purse to hold a phone while still leaving it useful, but that's not my style.

I don't doubt you but could they have sent you a case for the A20 which is a little smaller.

That's a possibility. I did specifically request the A20S. Maybe there was a mixup somehow.

Those cases look great and they are pretty affordable. However, they don't say A20S. Maybe there are options for this particular phone.

Looking at it again the A20 is significantly shorter, 158 v 163 and narrower so I doubt if you could squeeze it over. (An A20e is much smaller again).

If you really can't use all the functions they should refund you. IDK.

I used to use a slim wallet case when I had a Galaxy Note 3, and it was fully protective, but it had a magnetic clip on the front which left a small dead area on the screen. Most I look at now still are magnetic Check @MrJavi list if there are any.

I just ordered a cheap case for a new phone that comes with 2 Tempered Glass (9H) screen protectors which I've never put on before. A steamed room I think is best.

The case needs to project a little above the screen, but either a tempered glass cover (not plastic) along with a decent case back, or a wallet case is best for protection.

I had an Otterbox or a Spigen on a flagship Motorola but it slipped off my knee getting out of a small car on to pebbles and that was that.

  6. My experience with Otters is they fit well and don't interfere with controls, so something doesn't seem right.

I'm with @Madasa on this--I think they sent the wrong case.

Until recently, I only used Otterbox cases, and had for many years, on everything from phones to tablets. Each one fit like a glove and in no way interfered with using the device. [They're all hard as hell to take OFF...but that's a different story.]

You must have had the one with screws @MoodyBlues.

  11. Also something about the description seems backward, at least on the Defender cases I've used the hard plastic shell goes on the phone first and then the rubber skin goes over that.

I'm pretty sure the instructions showed just the opposite. Most likely this case is for a different model. I guess I'll just have to try again.

The soft rubber skin always goes on the outside. It's the last piece that's put on. [Or should be!]

  14. Yup the whole idea is when you drop it the outer rubber cushions the impact. Regardless of model they're all made that way.
