I dont currently use a case, but I would consider this one. I have an Otter Box case for my iPod and love it

I've been waiting for this to come out; been trying to decide between the body glove case and the Innocase II. I like the slide together construction of the Innocase, but it doesn't look like it has much of a lip in the front to protect the screen if dropped. The Otterbox looks like it does though. We'll see what people think once it is available.

Actually looks like a nice case... Wish it came in white, then I would get it!

Here's the latest as to the Eris Otterbox availability as of 2/3/10. The following is a verbatim reply to that question direct from Otterbox:

"Unfortunately, we do not have a date for them at this time. It is best to sign up for the email notification and it will send you an email as soon as they are available for purcahse on our website."

Hope this helps if you're waiting for one like I am! :)

I think, there is a film >built into< the front of the case that covers the touchscreen..

I wouldn't say it looks naked...it makes the phone rather thick. Not saying this is bad, I personally can't wait for this to be available. My friend has one for his iphone and it is very well made. Makes the phone a bit bulky and thick, but protects it from light splashes and drops...good for me at the jobsite.

Look at the specs of the case in the link below. It is multi-layered with the clear screen protector, thin silicone "condom" to protect from dust and water (not really, but maybe a splash or a few raindrops), then the outer shell to finish it off.

Then you don't like using a case.

Looks like the case is 2 pieces.Would guess in the future they will offer several colors of the outer part to get a 2 toned effect. I like the case and it doesn't appear to add a whole lot to the bulk of the eris but whats up with the volume rockers. Looks like to me they have their own rocker built into the case that transfers to the stock rocker inside the case. Makes finding and adjusting the volume easier I guess but sticks out a bit for me. We will see. Might just get one and try it to see. I REALLY like the feel of my naked eris so not sure if this is for me. I do like the camera bezel and the front lip to protect the screen when laying face down.

That looks a lot like the leather case I got when I first purchased mine. Mine is a little slimmer though.

just ordered one, will post up when I get it on and see if it's any good... I had like 10 different cases for my iPhone 3G so I know the difference between cheap junk & solid construction.

When I emailed a vendor about this because my screen started to bubble, they said to start at one corner and to peel it very very slow. Never tried though since I got scared when they first told me it would leave gunk on the screen if I took it off. So i just live with the bubbles, lol

The Otterbox comes with a "Self-adhering clear protective film (cleaning cloth and installation card included)" anyway, right? So maybe you'll luck out and it will work with what you have in place now.

Shouldn't be an issue if there is any residue left on the screen. Cannot wait for mine to come in, been waiting for one ever sense I bought my Eris!!

The invisishield you have on yours now can be left on...the otter box is just a piece of self stick plastic also...No cover for the screen like the ipod versions...Disappointed....
Kind of not really an otterbox then huh...
