Root Overclocked Kernels

    There have been a few queries here and there about kernels which are noted as being overclocked by the developers of the ROMs they're used in.

    Zach, the developer of the xtrROM series, tells me this about those kernels (when asked for clarification about them):

    * A kernel that is capabile of being overclock does not mean the ROM is OC by default and you will have to review the devs OP to determine what they have done.

    * Most DO NOT OC by default because they are using another devs kernels (there are only a few devs that know kernel code, I use Zanfurs) and

    * IF it IS OC by default then you do not "need" SetCPU or other such app unless you want to use the custom profiles as you mentioned

    That seems to cover that subject pretty well. ;) I think that the 3rd point there answers most questions posted here specifically.
