I have an application that uses many images. I have different sets of images for the different screen sizes and densities. This application will be made available through the Android Market.

    Is it best to:

    1. Have all the different sets of images in a single application

    or

    2. Have a separate application for each set of images.(To keep the file size down)

    or

    3. Is they another way of dealing with this?

    Thanks,

    Dave.

    Welcome to AF!

If you use DP, generally you can just include the high res images except for things where you can control the dimensions of the image (like a menu icon).

Anything 1.6 or newer should recognize drawable-hdpi even if that the only place your high res image exists, and draw it to yout WxH in dp (as long as you set them in dp)
