I found several hundred password protected .pdf files on my phone with the above naming convention  - page97.pdf, page97(1).pdf, etc. They take up a fair amount of space. I can't tell what they are because I can't open them without the password.

I'm thinking these belong with some app or maybe the system Help files.

Anyone have a clue what these might be?

I suppose it would depend on where you found them. If they are in the downloads folder, my guess is that you've got a we page cached that was the url for this file and every time you open your browser it re-downloads the page and append a sequential number.
