Pandora app and Bluetooth

I wanted to play Pandora on our BMW X3 via Bluetooth. Could not connected myself. Took it to the BMW dealer. After trying to do it himself, the BMW tech guru told me that I can play Pandora only if I connect my S8 via AUX cable to the car. Since we have cancelled the OnStar service, we can't play via Bluetooth. Is this true? I have not used the Bluetooth calling yet. Hope my phone works in the car now. Any comments, advice, similar experience by any one of you? Thank you.

Never heard of that.
I have a new GM vehicle, no OnStar, and Bluetooth works perfectly.
Just because you don't have OnStar doesn't make Bluetooth not work.
Unless it's a BMW thing.

Try the tune2air WMA3000B for BMW. I have on of the viseeousa BT adapter and this streams music really good via bluetooth and also compatible with other music apps like pandora, I just keep at least one song in my phone's music library in order other apps to play music.

Thank you, all, for your comments and advice. Laineejon, where did you buy your tune2air device? I saw them on Amazon. Not cheap. One plug I insert into my Samsung, and the other into the car's USB slot? My BMW Bluetooth is paired with my mobile and I receive phone calls when in the car. Please take a photo of this tune2air device plugged into your mobile and into the car's slot. Thank you.

I bought mine from viseeousa.com. I have the viseeo WMA3000A but viseeo offers different models for different car models. I know for BMW you can buy the 3000B it comes with USB/AUX cable this plugs directly into your car, no need to manually plug your phone just pair it with the viseeo . They do offer hassle-free return if for some reason it did not meet your expectation or it did not work.
