Recently I took multiple pictures in 3d and when I switched to gallery to view them, the most recent pictures of the same scene were stiched together to form what appeared to be a flawless panoramic shot. I tried zooming in, and the panorama disolved into a standard 3d shot and i was unable to get it back. Has this happened to anyone else?

what you saw was more likely a glitch. the cameras take two photos and they are "merged" together via software to give you the 3D gimmick. in reality its two images side by side..

That would be cool if we could take panoramic shots though.

I have used PhotoStitch (Android Market) for about a year on my original Evo and now my Evo 3D. Works great and will stitch together as many as 5 pictures for some pretty cool panarama shots.

The Kingdom ROM that was ported to the EVO 4G included the HTC Sense 3.0 camera software that had a panoramic setting and it worked great. I really liked how it worked and was disappointed to find it missing on the 3D. I don't know if it is because of the 3D function or not but here's hoping it finds it's way to the EVO 3D either from HTC or XDA once we have full root.

Really? I loved it on my Hero. Haven't had a good panoramic yet with my 3D.

i thought so as well, but it didn't look to be two pictures just side by side. It honestly looked like an extreme panoramic picture (maybe 3 or 4 2D pictures put together).

Oh well. Here's hoping that they have a panoramic/stitch feature in the next upgrade.

I use photaf, it works really well and can do 360* panaramas or even full globe (like above and below also), pretty cool
