Can someone help me with partition my SD card?

I have APPS2SD installed but it wont partition it, neither will ROM Manager.

I have Windows7 and Ubuntu 10.4. If it can be done with just the phone I'd prefer that method, then the Ubuntu method, then Windows (i hate the command prompt in Win)

    Thanks in advance

I have looked around, I was under the impression this was relatively easy, am I wrong??

You can use any partitioning tool (parted, partition magic, etc) to do this via windows or linux once you mount it on your computer. Just be sure to backup any data on the card, as you will wipe it when you partition it. Additionally, you can do it through adb I believe.
