There have been similar threads to this topic, but none of them answered my question:

Can you still connect your phone as a disk drive after partitioning your SD card?
Also
Is there anything you cant ever do after partitioning?

It would be pretty uselss if you couldnt mount it ;)

Dont format it in android as this has been known to remove the partition

Ok thanks, ive been wondering about this for quite a long time.
What procedure should i use to format,
thanks for the quick reply :)

Mount as disk drive in windows (as it wont mount the EXT partition, only FAT) and format it that way.

Ive already formatted it into FAT32, when i turned my SD Card into a Goldcard, while rooting.
I meant, Is there a procedure that you know of that you can partition your SD Card with, or should i use ROM Manager to do it?

Oh. Use Gparted with a cirtual machince (VMware) it seems long but well worth it. Follow the red link in my signature to find my guide for setting up the VM.

Yhh your right, the process looks long.
Its kinda discouraged me to partition :/
But i only have like 20MB internal memory, so i have to *sigh*

The vmware machine, once done can be used for all sorts of bootable CD's, like SIM unlocking, S-Off too. Once you have it set up, its easy.

Gparted is definitely the way to go though. If you're happy simply burning it to CD and booting from it, then do that.
