Rooted EVO and I dont want anyone to have access to my file manager. Just in case one of my friends gets their hands on my EVO I want to protect my system and data files (just in case someone decides to try and delete important data just for the fun of it, or by accident, without realizing they just crashed my phone)
Are there any apps for rooted or non-rooted phones that allow password protect options to be enabled on folders when clicked on?
    Thanks!

Well most system folders should be read only unless you specifically set them to read-write, and then you should always set them back to read only. Everything else is easily backed up.

True. I suppose I could just set the files back to read only. But just in case I forget to, or whatnot, a password protected folder option would still be nice to eliminate any human error.

couldn't they just go to the app drawer even if the folder is locked? Best bet is to secure your lock screen with a pattern/pin/password.

I just downloaded AVG for android and saw that they offer a paid app that allows you to lock down by application, which would probably suit your need well.
