    Hey Guys,

I'm headed to Vegas in a few days and saw that Tmo has a pay by the day plan. I already own a Nexus 4 and was thinking to purchase the $3 per day plan since I'm going to be there only for a few days. What are the charges associated with getting a SIM to get this plan. Is the SIM free or do I have to pay separately for it (alongside the plan)?

    Thanks :smokingsomb:

Hi Rockstore :hello: Welcome to the forums.

I don't know specifically for the plan you are asking about, but if you check Tmo's site you can usually get a Sim Activation kit for 99 cents or even free. You might want to check into the $30 a month 4G no contract plan if you're a new customer.

Thanks Atmazzz. The website wasn't clear whether the sim was part of the plan or not (with regards to the day plan). Looks like I do have to pay a separate fee. I'll check out the 30 day plan to see if it works out to be a better deal. Thanks!

ive got a t mobile prepay($30/month) and a pay per day($3 plan) and i did not need to purchase the sim in either case.

when you refill the accounts, there is sales tax,but other than that,it really is as good as it seems, there are no hidden fees or charges.

i use mine in ohio, where coverage is decent, and the right phones get HSPA+ in most places.

the ONLY prollem with t mobiles service in general is their partial useage of the 1700 band for 3g/HSPA+. because of this,ATT,and many international phones will only get edge data, simply becasue they lack the radio to pick up this band.

check the specs on your gsm nexus, and if it supports the 1700 band, this is prolly a good way for you to go to get a temporary smartphone for a few days :)
